You’ll notice the stars on the sidewalk throughout downtown PS.
For more than 25 years, the Walk of Stars has recognized famous folks who once lived in the area. The tram ascends over 8,500 feet (2,590 meters) in approximately 10 minutes, providing panoramic views of the Coachella Valley.

Discovering LGBT Life in Cuba
The city gets quite busy on the weekends as folks from LA and other nearby cities head to Palm Springs for a big gay weekend getaway. Many, but not all, of the Palm Springs gay bars are clustered on E. Arenas Road, which is where you’ll want to go if you’re looking to do some bar hopping.
In my experience, the patrons at these places were reasonably friendly if somewhat cliquey, which is pretty standard for gay bars across the country.
Expect to see a higher percentage of 45+ aged men here than in gay bars in other cities, simply due to Palm Springs demographics.
