With the announcement that the eighth season will be the show’s last, viewers can prepare to bid a fond farewell to a groundbreaking series that has left an indelible mark on LGBTQ representation in television.

‘Elite’ Season 8 — Iván Returns to Dangerously Sexy Las Encinas

After spending some time at Parkhurst in a rare Netflix high school crossover, Elite Season 8 recalls Iván (AndréLamoglia).

Season 8 premieres on July 28, and more details about the final season are finally out.

Also returning is Omar (Omar Ayuso), the gay Muslim who was a student in Season 1 and is now living with Joel and Dalmar. Eric’s relationship with Chloe is up and down. Dalmar (Iván Mendes) has a video implicating Carmen (Maribel Verdú), whose daughter Chloe (Mirela Balic) is a classmate of Raúl’s girlfriend, Sara (Carmen Arrufat).

Allegiances are formed, hearts are broken, and there are more manipulations — several of which are illegal — as characters try to save themselves or seek justifiable revenge. Watching the naked Héctor come on to Joel in the school locker room is wonderfully inappropriate, as is a masturbation session he initiates by sticking his hand down Joel’s pants.

Iván spent a lot of time missing Patrick.

The character was written out because Ríos had been cast as the lead in another series by Carlos Montero called Respira (English Breathless).

Respira has completed production, but based on the information revealed, it doesn’t seem like Ríos will reprise the character.

It looks like we’re back to the same old Las Encinas, dialed up to a hundred.

The season will feature new, old, and older faces as Las Encinas fights for its life while characters fight for theirs.

Accompanying the news about the premiere date is a teaser that tees up what to expect in the much-anticipated final season.

Iván left Spain for South Africa on an exchange program.

It is all best left for fans to discover. He reflected on the series’s journey, stating, “We ended on a high note.” Montero expressed mixed emotions about concluding the show but emphasized the positive impact it has had on the lives of its actors and its global audience. When Iván returns to Las Encinas from abroad, a love triangle develops.

But the frisson between these attractive teens creates much of the show’s erotic energy and will have viewers binging to see more.

While the murder investigation does take over the narrative in the last few episodes, it allows the characters to show their true colors. Well, I think I said more than I should (lol), I’m suspicious, but it’s worth following this launch.”

‘Elite’ Season 7 is set to return on Netflix on October 20.

Nico feels a bit sidelined this season, which is a shame given the opportunity to depict the trans teen experience.

Throughout its five-year run, Élite has introduced and celebrated several other queer characters and relationships, enriching its narrative with diverse LGBTQ experiences.

Like all of the seasons in this juicy teen drama, it is filled with good-looking people behaving badly. It is one of the flaws of this overstuffed series.

“Only Omar will be able to face them and will be willing to do anything to see them fall, because in the end, they represent everything that has always been wrong in Las Encinas.”

Elite Season 8 starsAyuso,Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Mirela Balić, Gleb Abrosimov, Líndez, Nadia Al Saidi, Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, Iván Mendes, Maribel Verdú, and newcomers Ane Rot, Nuno Gallego, Alexandra Pino, and Mario Ermito, among others.

Mina el Hammani, who played Nadia since the series first premiered, is also set to return.

Elite‘s 8-episode final season premieres on July 26 on Netflix.

It prompts many of the students to rally in support of Omar, while also demonstrating the racism, classism, and possible homophobia directed towards him. The school setting, Las Encinas, is merely a gathering place for this season’s senior class who pledge in the first episode to “do what they want” until they leave school.

That, apparently, involves plenty of partying and sex, not to mention extra-curriculars like blackmail, extortion, jealousy, betrayal, and manipulation.

André Lamoglia is famously known for playing the role of ‘Elite’s Iván Carvalho, who is a bisexual character in the Spanish Netflix series.

In an interview with Extra Globo, the 26-year-old Brazilian actor opened up about the importance of representation as someone who is portraying a queer character.

“It is very important that, increasingly, audiovisual works have themes with inclusivity in mind.

Héctor gives Joel initiation tests for joining Alumni, while the wealthy Iván tries to respect Joel’s desire to be financially independent. In Blood and Water, he has fun but decides the place is not for him.

Lamoglia guest starred in the South African teen drama series for three episodes, completing an arc that was teased in Elite Season 7.

New Relationships Form

In the previous Season, Iván, still reeling from losing his dad and being left by Patrick, fell into a new relationship with Joel (Fernando Líndez).

New this season are siblings Héctor (Nuno Gallego) and Emilia (Ane Rot), who appear to be straight out of “Cruel Intentions.” Richer than God — their family owns almost everything and everyone in Spain — they are the president and vice president of the school’s Alumni association, and they use their influence to create an elite club (among the elite) that is practically a cult.

Whose body it is, how it got there, and who committed the crime is revealed over the course of the season’s eight episodes. For those who have nothing — Joel, Dalmar, Omar, and even to an extent, Isadora — they must make unholy alliances in the hope of getting ahead.
